I was inspired to make this after a week-long craving for the Filipino-style avocado milkshake full of condensed milk. I decided to create an alternative – still creamy and delicious!
You’ll need:

  • A blender – I use this one I got from Amazon – less than $20!
  • a handful of greens (I like baby spinach)
  • half an avocado
  • Iogo crème caramel yogurt (If you can find a different brand that carries caramel flavour, then go for it!)
  • Milk of your choice (I use 1%)
  • (Optional) flax seeds
  • (Optional) vanilla whey powder (this would make it an amazing post-workout smoothie)

Put it all in the blender and mix away! It will look like this:

Ta-da! Perfectly creamy and healthy treat!  Warning: this can get addictive 🙂

This is so healthy! I just have to give it a try. I’ve never had an avocado smoothie.

Avocado shakes/smoothies are my favourite! And even though this recipe is healthy, it doesn’t taste like it because it is SO creamy! Avos are in season right now, so I think it’s a good time to try 🙂

It’s a great way to add some sweetness to it! Asian recipes (the ones I grew up with) typically use condensed milk, which has a similar taste to caramel, so I thought a caramel flavoured yogurt would be more healthy! You’ll have to let me know what you think if you try it 🙂
