A little while ago, I had a chance to try out the Miraj Hammam Spa by Caudalie located in the Shangri-La Hotel in Toronto. I really didn’t know what to expect. I’ve had many spa treatments and massages before, but not the Hammam treatment that the spa is known for.

Before we get into it, they have some great Holiday deals available for a limited time here.

This happened about a week before our wedding, so it was UH-MA-ZING to have some relaxation and get away from all of my “to-do” lists and electronics.

I knew I would love this place the moment I stepped out of the elevator. This is how the front desk looks like! I went right after work (5PM on a Friday) and it was surprisingly not very busy.

I was greeted by a very nice woman, led to the changeroom and they gave me a wrap to use before we headed into the steam chamber (below).

My Experience:

The treatment is a steam (Hammam) and body exfoliation (Gommage). I love steam rooms, so I was in heaven here. I was lead into the low mist steam chamber where I laid on Jerusalem gold marble, while being exfoliated using a eucalyptus infused black Moroccan soap and again, it felt like heaven. I don’t really know how else to describe it, but I felt so… clean and detoxified after! My skin felt S O F T and just amazing.

The only downside to this treatment (honestly) is that it goes by pretty quickly. It’s 30 minutes for the treatment, so you can get in and out within an hour.

After my treatment, I was led into one of the best-decorated lounges I’ve ever seen. I was also served a light snack and mint tea to help me rejuvinate. Like… I was reeelaxed…. ha ha.

I didn’t mean to, but I took a little nap. I faked it in this photo, obviously lol

Anyway, they were nice enough to offer a lucky BEAUTYANDABITE reader to his or her own Hammam & Gommage treatment! Follow the rollercopter below to be entered.

The only mandatory entry task is to comment below and tell me What other ways you like to relax and wind down? Especially during the holidays? Share!

Going for a run when I’m super stressed always makes me feel better. Also drinking a Chai Tea with a muffin chills me out. 🙂
